The Historic Kings Theatre has been a part of the Stratford Community for more than 100 years.
It is a versatile Theatre and Cinema with the capability of seating 320 patrons.
The Theatre is available for hire by arrangement, for Special screenings, Theatre and Live shows, Civic or Educational purposes, and Theatre Tours that come with the option of finger food.

The Theatre is a non profit organisation and is heavily dependent on the generous funding donations provided by the Taranaki Electricity Trust.
It is administered by a committee of trustees and a group of more than 30 enthusiastic volunteers who are doing their utmost to keep the Kings Theatre doors open and provide a varied theatre experience to the community.
TET Kings Emporium Bookshop
The Kings Emporium is a fundraising shop, situated next to the TET Kings Theatre on Broadway.
It is run entirely by volunteers, and we sell mainly books but also other odds and ends.
All proceeds go directly towards keeping our iconic Kings Theatre running.
Our books, DVDs, CDs, Puzzles, knitting etc. are all donated allowing us to keep prices low.
Most books are only $2 each.
We stock all genre which are sorted alphabetically into sections, eg, fiction, non-fiction, mystery, sci-fi, gardening, DIY, travel, knitting and sewing, war, ships and aircraft.
There is also a Music section, where we keep old LP, 78 and 45rpm records, sheet music and books relating to movie stars and shows.
We rely solely on donations so all books, DVDs and anything saleable are gratefully accepted.
Monday – Friday, 9.30am – 1:00pm, Saturday 10:00am – 12:00pm
