Brian and Christine both grew up in Stratford. They were the first couple to be married in the Church of Immaculate Conception when the new church was built in 1973. Brian and Christine have four children, Leisa, Nicole, Shaun and Pamela. Brian has always been a hard worker with a goal to always provide the best life he can for his family. Brian was an avid hockey player, playing for many years in the Stratford Hockey club, and still proudly supporting the club and growth of hockey by way of sponsorship. When he felt the time was right for younger players to step up and take his place, he switched codes and now enjoys weekly games of squash. The many other loves in his life are the 12 grandchildren, they are simply the apples of his eye and is often seen around Stratford with one or many of the grandchildren by his side on the weekends. I’m not sure who enjoys it the most, Brian or the grandchildren. Brian and Christine moved back to Stratford in December 2012 after spending the previous 28 years in New Plymouth. They are wondering why it took them so long to come home to their roots.

Pamela is the youngest child of Brian and Christine Darth born in 1985 at Stratford Hospital. Pamela grew up in the Taranaki area but then went on to move to Auckland and then Hamilton, returning to Taranaki to have her first daughter in 2009. Pamela joined her father at Brian Darth Funeral Services in 2009 to start her own career as a funeral director. Pamela then had another daughter, born with Down Syndrome in 2011. Pamela and her family moved to Stratford in 2013, Pamela also wonders why she never came back to Stratford as her children are thriving and her husband, Daniel, is close to the speedway track. Pamela now works alongside Brian as an embalmer and funeral director.
