Colonel Malone Statue

You can find the bronze statue of Lieutenant Colonel William George Malone standing proudly, facing Mount Taranaki at the Broadway South entrance of the Carrington Walkway, Stratford.

Colonel Malone’s statue serves as a reminder of his great leadership and the sacrifices he made for his country.

The statue was initiated by the Malone Quest Committee. The statue is the work of New Plymouth sculpture Fridtjof Hanson. The statue was bronze cast by Ross Wilson. The statue of Lieutenant Colonel William George Malone was unveiled on 20 November 2011.
