Allan Chesswas established Renaissance Consulting Limited as Central Taranaki’s only planning and policy consultancy, with an RMA focus, in 2011.

Allan has 15 years experience in resource management and environmental planning, in both the public and private sector. He managed the Stratford District Plan Review 2006 – 2008, and afterwards worked on district plan reviews for New Plymouth District Council and South Taranaki District Council.

Allan has worked across a range of resource management issues, including mineral extraction, oil & gas, supermarkets, water supplies and agricultural land use.

His main focus in both plan review work and resource consents has been oil and gas, including preparing applications for the private sector, and processing applications for councils (including representation at hearings). A recent focus has been work on consenting water takes and discharges for the South Taranaki District Council water supply.
