The Wheelhouse

We are a single point of contact for Taranaki trusts, clubs, societies & community organisations to help them grow stronger & become sustainable. In other words we are all about helping good people do good things better.

We provide opportunities to improve governance & management through training, support & information.  The Wheelhouse is a partnership of nine Taranaki capacity building organisations these are:  The Bishops Action Foundation, TSB Community Trust, New Plymouth District Council, Stratford District Council, South Taranaki District Council, Sport Taranaki, Te Puni Kokiri, Department of Internal Affairs and Tui Ora.

Our website is a hub of useful information for the voluntary and community sector and has been designed to take the stress out of searching for useful information.  You will also find help sheets, useful templates, hints and tips and our training calendar.

The Training Calendar:

Here you will find training opportunities to assist community groups with their governance and management.  These opportunities are not just provided by The Wheelhouse but also those we feel would be useful to Taranaki organisations. We are also able to run some of our modules and bespoke workshops just for your organisation.  The sessions are Free of Charge or heavily subsidised.
